William Bula-Reyes

Sergeant William Bula-Reyes was shot and killed while at the guard post he was assigned to at a public housing project.

Sergeant Bula-Reyes was alone on the graveyard shift, at the public housing project Sicardo Lopez in Rio Piedras, sitting in the security booth when a person approached without a word and shot him, killing him instantly. When another officer came to relieve him the next morning, they found him dead in the booth. It was suggested that the lack of ventilation inside the security booth containing armor, forced the officer to leave the door open.

The subject who shot him was arrested and convicted of his murder.

Sergeant Bula-Reyes worked with the Puerto Rico Police Department for 11 years and was assigned to Precinct 162, Rio Piedras. He is survived by his wife.

LAMENTABLEMENTE YO PERDÍ MI ESPOSO HACE 20 AÑOS, SOLO PUEDO DECIR QUE ERA UN EXCELENTE HIJO, ESPOSO Y AMIGO, QUE NADA A PESAR DEL TIEMPO NO TE OLVIDO, DOBLE W TE AMO MUCHO Y TE AMARÉ HASTA EL DIA QUE NOS REENCONTREMOS EN LA VERDADERA VIDA QUE ES EN CRISTO JESÚS. DEP
