Deputy Davidson was killed in a single car crash as he and two passengers were returning from a search for a missing person. The accident occurred at approximately 03:00 hours in western Juab County when Deputy Davidson's vehicle drifted to the left and struck a concrete guard rail. The vehicle, a Ford Bronco, then traveled to the right side of the roadway and rolled over, ejecting Deputy Davidson. He was pronounced dead approximately two hours later at a local hospital.

Your heroism and service is honored today, the 12th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered. I pray for solace for all those who love and miss you for I know both the pain and pride are forever.
