Raymond Scott Harvick

Officer Raymond Harvik succumbed to injuries he suffered in an automobile accident on April 12, 1998.

Officer Harvik had just finished assisting paramedics with a medical emergency and was following an ambulance when he lost control of his patrol vehicle, a Chevy Blazer, as he entered a sharp curve in the road. A passenger in the vehicle was also injured.

Officer Harvick was transported to the Hillcrest Baptist Medical Center where he succumbed to his injuries.

Officer Harvik was a United States Army veteran who served with the Mart Police Department for only two months and previously served with the Dallas School District Police and Roanoke Police Department. He was survived by his father, stepmother, brother, sister, and grandparents.

On today, the 25th anniversary of your death I would just like to say thank you for your service and sacrifice-not just as a Law Enforcement Officer but for our Country as well when you served with the U.S. Army as a member of the 1st Cavalry Division. And to your Family and loved ones, I wish to extend my deepest sympathy.
