Patrolman Bobby R. Watson and Sergeant Otis Love were killed when their patrol car was struck by a drunk driver when they made a U-turn.

The driver of the other car was driving on the wrong side of the road. The driver had a BAC of .08 and, in addition, was not permitted to drive because he was legally blind. As Patrolman Watson was making the U-turn, the other car struck the patrol car. Both officers were killed instantly. The driver of the other car was critically injured.

Patrolman Watson had served with the Sheridan Police Department for 9 years. He is survived by his wife and four children.
