Sergeant Otis V. Love and Patrolman Bobby Ray Watson were killed when their patrol car was struck by a drunk driver when they made a U-turn.

The driver of the other car was driving on the wrong side of the road. The driver had a BAC of .08 and, in addition, was not permitted to drive because he was legally blind. As Patrolman Watson was making the U-turn, the other car struck the patrol car. Both officers were killed instantly. The driver of the other car was critically injured.

Sergeant Love had served with the Sheridan Police Department for 8 years. He is survived by his wife, four sons, and seven grandchildren.

Jr was a kind man. I was to leave Feb 9th to come to arkansas to see him and other family members. It was heartbreaking not to get to see his smile and hear his laughter. He is missed greatly!
