Corporal Anderson Gordon was shot and killed after being ambushed.

A bails bondman was chasing a bail jumper when the suspect's car crashed at an intersection and the suspect began to run. Corporal Gordon happened to be driving by the scene, not knowing what was happening when the suspect opened fire on his cruiser for no reason, striking and killing him. The suspect then hid nearby and shot at other responding officers before he was shot and wounded.

Corporal Gordon is survived by his two daughters and fiancée.

My reflection is looking in the eyes of McNabb one week prior to you being shot talking my way out of a situation. I was hired to find McNabb, not pick him up. Calling the MPD on the make and modle of the fire arm, I was told "we dont help bounty hunters." I was no means a bounty hunter. Blesses Be and that I really tried and my friend that you were killed on week later by the same gun he was pointing at me. I will never forget this day. I just need closure.
