Corporal Wayne Martinez was stabbed to death by inmates during an escape attempt.

The suspects had gained control to the shift commander's office and attacked Corporal Martinez, beating him and stabbing him three times. The suspects then fled in a truck but were stopped when other officers opened fire on them at an exterior fence.

Corporal Martinez had served with the agency for 7 years. He was survived by his wife, son, four daughters, and his parents.

Its amazing to see that there is a lot of good people in world and this country that are out to protect the people. To this officer who was doing his Job making sure the inmants stay locked up útil their time is up, he did his Job fair well my respects to corporal Martínez and my prayers for his family this officer William never be forgotten and Will remáin a héro in oír hearts and minds, i thank you and want to let all your family that either this officers as well as the people who were let behind with his memory he will never be forgoton.
