Sergeant James Blair was killed when his motorcycle was struck by a van. The driver of the van was charged with vehicular homicide and three other violations in connection with the incident.

Sergeant Blair had served with the agency for 20 years. He is survived by his wife and three sons.

My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.
