Charlie, its been a while and I have moved on-and until today I haven't thought about you and yours in many a day. I'm sorry. I regret what made me think of you was another case of a good one being placed to rest - in this case here in East Tennessee- Maryville PD Officer Kenny Moats- taken away by another in an act we will never understand last week. I think back to that evening in Sumter, and question myself - when we laid hands on him-what we could have done with him at that moment...you, a good man and Officer, were with us even then -with our adrenaline flowing- you helped us do what was proper, what we swore to do. The justice system can never answer for your loss- but know -you and the all of the others before and after you- continue to guide and keep us. Welcome Kenny home for us.
