Officer Worley was shot and killed after responding to a domestic dispute. As he approached the back door of the residence the suspect opened it and shot Officer Worley in the chest with a shotgun. The suspect was apprehended a short time later.

The suspect was convicted of first degree murder and sentenced to 30 years in prison November 22, 1933.

Officer Worley had been with the agency for eight years.

My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.
