Park Franklin Williams

Deputy Williams was shot and killed by a 18 year-old youth he attempted to question about a robbery. The suspect held up another youth for 15 cents and a pocket comb.

The youth was convicted of first degree murder and sentenced to life on May 18, 1936.

Deputy Williams had served with the agency for 3 years. He was survived by his wife and nine children.

Your heroism and service is honored today, the 76th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered.
