Lamon Weaver

Trooper Lamon Weaver was killed in an automobile accident on LA Highway 1 one mile north of Boyce at 6:00 pm.

He had just turned around to stop a speeding automobile when he was either forced off the road or lost control of his vehicle.

Trooper Weaver was a United States Navy Reserve WWII veteran and had served with the Louisiana State Police for 18 years and was assigned to Troop E. He is survived by his wife, two sons, two daughters, and his father. One of his sons served with the Natchitoches City Police Department for 40 years.
