Officer Violin, you helped protect one of the most important waterways in the world. Thanks to women and men like you, the Panama Canal was kept safe and allowed world commerce to flow freely and kept those who lived and worked in the Canal Zone safe and secure. It is truly sad that you had to give your life in that service. On this 72nd anniversary of that sacrifice I wish to thank you for your service. The Canal is now the property of the people of Panama but if not for folks like you, it might not have been around long enough to be passed on.

God Bless and may you continue to Rest in Peace, Brother.
