Dear Uncle Jackie, I was a little girl when you died from chasing a bad guy down. I remember the funeral part that was out on the street with so many police attending in the Bronx where we lived.
Thank you for being such a great uncle - taking us to Orchard Beach because my father worked 7 days a week back then. Thank you for giving my brothers and sisters and me money - we saved five whole dollars for our Halloween party because of you. Thank you for being so good to my mom, your baby sister and Ganga, your Mom - who lived with us. You were her eldest child of 8. Always the life of the family party - I remember you used our Wollensak tape recorder at a family party and said to Ganga - Kate -put your teeth in and say something to everyone! To this day, you are missed and never forgotten! Love, Dana your niece
