Detective Troy was shot and killed while making an arrest. The suspect later died in prison.
Detective Troy was survived by his wife and six children.
On this 82nd anniversary of your death I am reminded how honored i am to be your grandson. Your legacy lives on in your family and many of us have worn the uniform with pride.
