Officer Martin Tripptree succumbed to head injuries received over one year earlier when his police motorcycle was struck by an automobile. He had undergone several surgeries for the head injuries before succumbing to the injuries.

Officer Tripptree had been with the agency for nine years.

I went on the Highway Patrol in 1969 after 4 years in the USMC....I went on this site and remembered that your daughter always spoke highly of you and you influenced my decision to join the FINEST Law Enforcement organization in the world. Blue and Gold all the way....
