I was walking through the District at this year's Police Week celebration when an NPS Ranger suddenly pointed out the spot where you were killed. How eery to think that nearly 70 years before you were killed where I was standing, fighting the same fight we are fighting today. The uniforms and gear may have changed a bit, but the bad guys don't seem to. I guess its true that the more things change, the more they stay the same. I'm pleased to say that these many years later, your brothers and sisters in blue remember what you fell and, more importantly, what you stood for!
