Captain Arriola was shot and killed when he responded to a call involving a man pointing a gun at another man. When Captain Arriola arrived at the scene he ordered the man to drop the gun. Shots were then exchanged and both Captain Arriola and the suspect were shot and killed.
Captain Arriola had served with the agency for 4 years. He was survived by his wife and five children.
