Officer Lawrence Sullivan was shot and killed while questioning a suspicious subject.
During his patrol, Officer Sullivan observed a suspicious man on the street. As Officer Sullivan stopped him for questioning, the offender produced a revolver. The gunman fired several times, striking Officer Sullivan.
Officer Sullivan was rushed to the hospital, where he died of his injuries the following day.
