I was a Honolulu Police Rookie working on the same shift as Larry the night he was killed. Although I was not at the scene that night I vividly recall the horror and sadness when we were informed of Larry's passing. I also recall being at the funeral and seeing a tour bus pull up that had been hired by the nightclub "Bobby McGees" where Larry had lost his life. When the bus arrived at the cemetary a large number of workers from Bobby McGees got off and joined in honoring Larry that day. Larry was a great guy and great cop. May he Rest in Peace.
