Well here goes, James was my best friend. We grew up in Arlington and ran around after school. I worked with him at his fathers business, Midway Office Supply. He talked me into joining the Navy with him in 1957. I could type so I was put in the office in Jacksonville, FL. James wanted to be in Police work so I got him into the MP's on the base. When we got out, he joined the Dallas Police. I rode around with him and his partner while they were on duty in Dallas a few times. I think anyone who has not done this doesn't have any idea what Policemen go through. I have missed him ever since.
