I never got to know you granddaddy but I know you were a hero and still are in the eyes of your family and the town of St. Matthews. Grandma Stabler was a wonderful grandma and I stayed with her a lot. She was a wonderul lady and person inside and out. I am sure she missed you very much. She never remarried. I know that one day we will meet and I am excited to get the chance to know you then. Thank you for being the hero you were but it is sad that I did not get to know you. Love your granddaughter.
