Officer St. DeLore and Officer James Forbes were killed when their police helicopter collided in mid-air with a Cessna 150. The officers were responding to a shooting in the south end of the city when their helicopter collided with the Cessna that was landing at Boeing Field.
Officer St. DeLore had been a member of the Seattle Police Department for four years and is survived by his wife, son, and daughter.
