Policeman Sneesby was shot and killed while investigating burglary call at a United States Post Office. As Policeman Sneesby approached the building, the suspects opened fire out of a basement window, killing Policeman Sneesby.
A citizen who lived next door observed the suspects fleeing and was able to help the authorities capture them.
