Henry Smith, Jr.

Police Officer Henry Smith was shot and killed while attempting to break up a dice game in the 700 block of West Lexington Street while off duty.

He attempted to arrest two men and he was knocked to the ground before being shot six times. Both suspects were later arrested.

Officer Smith had served with the Baltimore Police Department for five years. He was survived by his wife and five children.
