Terry Scott Simmons

Police Officer Terry Simmons was killed in an automobile accident when his patrol car went over the guardrail of the Vandeventer Overpass on Highway 40. The patrol car plunged 60-feet onto Market Street and landed on its roof.

Officer Simmons was a veteran of the US Navy and had been with the agency for exactly one year and two days. He was survived by his wife and two daughters.
