Though the last reflection was left several months ago, I just now read it and for the first time put two and two together. I had the honor and pleasure of working with your Grandson and can truthfully say, you would be very proud of the cop he became. He was a colleague and later my supervisor and I always enjoyed working with him due to his knowledge, his sense of decency and his abilities. I cannot forgive the way he and others were treated, but he's doing well now and I'm glad for that.

It's not often I can truly make a connection with a fallen comrade, but now and then, the loss hits home, even if in an extended way.

May you continue to Rest in Peace, Brother.
