Robert F. Sexton

Chief Sexton was shot and killed by one of his officers who was corrupt. The officer was convicted of involuntary manslaughter and sentenced to 2 years in prison. He served less than a year. In 2004 he was sentenced to 16 years in federal prison for drug and gun crimes.

Chief Sexton was survived by his two-month-old daughter and mother.
