Albert W. Sansom

Police Officer Albert Sansom was shot and killed while responding to a domestic dispute.

Two days later, Game Warden George Wilson was shot and killed while searching for Officer Sansom's murderer along with Montgomery County deputies.

As a result of the officer's murders the national guard was deployed to subdue mob violence. A man thought to be withholding information about Officer Sanson's killer was lynched. Another man was shot and killed and several men were whipped and beaten.

On today, the 100th anniversary of your death I would just like to say thank you for your service and sacrifice-not just for your Community but for our Country as well when you served with the U.S. Army during World War I.
