Officer Rusinko was shot and killed while on duty. Officer Rusinko was attempting to stop the robbery of a taxi which he witnessed.
The killers later shot and wounded Hamtramck Officer John Mickley as Officer Mickley arrested the men. Officer Mickley fully recovered from his wounds but was later shot and killed while on duty in another incident.

My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect. You will always be honored and revered.
