I lived in the 'log' house beside the road where the accident occured. I was a little girl when this happened. I remember looking out the window at all the flashing lights and sirens. My dad, G.E. Davis, went outside to see if he could be of any help. It was right after dad went outside that the woman hit Trooper Rulong's car. Daddy came running back into our house and got a blanket (or two) telling my mother that the trooper was hurt and he needed to keep him warm. He later told us he died almost immediately. My dad and mom often wondered what ever happened to his family. I pray that they were able to have a happy life.
