Lieutenant Isidro Rodriguez-Monclova was shot and killed while attempting to arrest a suspect who just robbed a store on Roberto Clemente Avenue.

Lieutenant Rodriguez-Monclova was posthumously promoted from the rank of Sergeant to Second Lieutenant. He had served with the agency for 25 years and was survived by his wife and two children.

Your heroism and service is honored today, the 27th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was murdered on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.
