Jail Master Robinson was shot and killed during an escape attempt by two inmates from the county jail. The suspect who shot Jail Master Robinson later committed suicide. The second suspect was returned to prison and served an additional 25 years before escaping again. That suspect remained at large until March 22, 2005, when he was arrested in Chicago, Illinois.
