David P. Richards

Patrol Officer David Richards was killed when the rear wheel of his motorcycle came loose causing him to lose control and crash into a guardrail on I-5 south of the Bothell Way exit.

He and other officers were on their last day of motorcycle training when the crash occurred.

Officer Richards had served with the Seattle Police Department for nine months. He is survived by his wife and two daughters.
