Detective Sergeant Rice,
I did a search to see if other officers who share my last name had ever died in the line of duty. I was saddened to find that you were one of nine officers with the name of Rice to have died in the line of duty. I want you to know that you have not died in vain but instead died courageously and with honor. Thank you for your service.
