Ralph W. Ramsey

Border Patrol Inspector Ralph Ramsey was killed when he fell underneath a train he was attempting to board in Columbus, New Mexico.

He and another inspector were conducting checks of the train yard and noticed an open boxcar. He was attempting to board the moving train as it slowly passed a siding but he fell beneath it and was dragged a short distance.

Inspector Ramsey served with the United States Border Patrol for only eight months.
