Officer Albanese suffered a fatal heart attack after responding to an assistance call on East 61st Street. He was assigned to the 60th Precinct.

Office Albanese had been with the agency for 12 years and was assigned to the 17th Precinct. He was survived by his wife and two children.

My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.
