I never forget the morning we got the call that my brother Donald Price had been murdered. That call is ever haunting. Donald had only been married 1 year and 6 months and had a 6 month old son. He was the only son that my mother and father had. The last time I saw Donald was two weeks before he was murdered. He and his wife, along with their son came to visit us in Georgia. My son was only 4 weeks old at the time, I will ever cherish that last visit. I tried to get Donald not to go back to work for the prison, but law enforcement was in his blood. Donald believed that all prisoners could be rehabilitated. His birthday and the day he died is a constant reminder of our loss.

My other son was born 3 years later on June 22, 1976 and he is in law enforcement. He was born within 5 minutes of the time Donald died. My prayer everyday is that God hold him in the palm of his hand while he works to make the streets a safe place.

May God give each one of us the faith and strength to deal with what ever may come our way and that His will be done in all things and for His glory.
