Patrolman Polcsak was killed in a motorcycle accident while pursuing a suspect who had just kidnapped a girl. The accident occurred when his motorcycle went out of control near the Hulton Bridge and struck the back of a Pennsylvania State Police patrol car that was also involved in the pursuit.
Patrolman Polcsak was taken to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
