Raymond A. Plunkett

Trooper Plunkett was killed when his patrol car was forced off the road and struck a pole. Trooper Plunkett survived the accident but every bone in his face was broken and every tooth was knocked out. Trooper Plunkett died the following day during surgery to set his jaw.

Trooper Plunkett had served with the agency for 5 years.

Your heroism and service is honored today, the 78th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered. Rest In Peace.
