I am a 35 yr veteran of NCPD. My shield number was 538 when I was a patrolman later then changed to police officer title. Did not know for a few yrs that it was the same shield number and probably shield of Patrolman Pickwick. After I retired as a detective I was privileged and honored to retrieve my old shields including Patrolmen Sh number 538.

It helps me to NEVER FORGET.
