Trooper Parrish was killed in an automobile accident while on patrol on Shirley Highway, near the Lorton overpass, in Fairfax County. Trooper Parrish may have been attempting to catch up with a speeder when his patrol car went out of control and careened down a 35-foot embankment at 1:20 am.

Trooper Parrish was assigned to the Ingleside Barracks. He was survived by his wife.

My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.
