While on patrol, Private William Omlor was killed when his motorcycle was struck by a truck near Schuylkill Haven Borough.
Private Omlor was a U.S Army veteran of WWI and had served with the Pennsylvania State Police for four years. He was survived by his father.

My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.
