Park Police Officer Robert Oman was killed in a crash in the 4100 block of Marine Drive when his motorcycle struck loose gravel while he attempted to avoid a collision with another vehicle.

Officer Oman had served with the Chicago Park District Police Department for 13 years. He was survived by his wife and 11-year-old daughter.
