Patrolman Peter Oginskis died as result of an automobile accident in a department vehicle. He was operating a motorcycle when he was hit head on by an automobile at the intersectionof Pond Street and Arbor Way in the Jamaica Pond section of Boston.

Patrolman Oginskis had been with the agency for two years. He is buried in Holy Cross Cemetery in Hudson, NH.
