Your message: Dear Parole Board Members: I ask that you DENY PAROLE to Christopher Shawn Wheeler, DOC#1173014. This inmate's violent murder of Wythe County Sheriff's Deputy Clifford Dicker in 1994 should preclude any consideration for parole. Deputy Dicker was devoted to helping people and saving lives. He was serving papers for the courts when inmate #1173014 so callously and brutally took his life. After wounding Deputy Dicker, inmate #1173014 then disarmed him and shot him in the head with his duty weapon, killing him. Violence against law enforcement officers is on the rise and many officers have lost their lives to parolees. Inmates who have taken the life of an officer should be subject to serve their full sentence, without any possibility of parole. Inmate #1173014 has proven he has no respect for the courts, law enforcement, or society at large. It is imperative he not be released back into society. As a concerned citizen, and in the interest of public safety, I am asking that you DENY PAROLE to inmate #1173014. Justice demands that he be made to spend every day of his original sentence in prison. Sincerely,
