Your message: Commissioner Epps: It has come to my attention that Earnest Conrod (MDOC #14519) may be eligible for conditional medical release. I respectfully request that you do not approve this release. On April 18, 1994, the inmate shot and killed Deputy Sheriff Melvin Brown while Deputy Brown was escorting the inmate's wife to her home. Deputy Brown's wife became a widow, and their three children lost their father because of Conrod's heinous actions. Conrod was sentenced to life in prison without the possibility for parole, and he should be meant to serve the full sentence in prison as intended. Again, I respectfully urge you to not approve any form of release for Earnest Conrod, MDOC #14519. Sincerely,
