May he rest in peace. He was such a beautiful dog. Thank you for your service.

I wanted to express my deepest sympathy to this fallen K9; his handler & the rail PD ofcs. on the force. I didn't know either, nor do I live in the same state; however your K9 lost his life the same day as my birthday.

Although passed, I will illuminate a porch light blue in 2020 for him in honor of his memory of the same week in Feb.

With thanks to the K9s on patrol w/ their handlers, the safety of all P.O.s is greatly enhanced. These highly-trained, four-legged officers willing to sacrifice their own lives to save that of the depts. in which they serve.

**God speed K9 Handler!**

"JUST A DOG"
You say I'm "Just a Dog" then why would it be,
if you spell my name backwards god is what you see
I have many jobs, one is protecting your life
or making sure your family's safe
when that prowler is out at night
I would chase down any man who hurt someone,
I would protect you with my life until my job is done
I search for drugs in many different places,
I can pick them out of anything
even though they come in many different phases
I can sniff out a bomb that might be in your child's school,
I would risk being blown up to make sure
your child comes home to you
If you're hurt in the woods or just lost and scared
I will search as long as it takes
to make sure your life is spared
I am loyal to my master for they are first in my eyes,
I will always stand beside them
for we are partners till I die
Of all these jobs that I do,
my most important is protecting you,
protecting your life with the risk of losing mine even though I have never met you
So after all these things that you read,
tell me when you look into my eyes is
"Just a Dog" all you see?

K-9 Defender, God called you home so you must have perfectly completed all you were supposed to do. Send a message to your partner's heart and tell him all is well - he too was performing his job perfectly as he was trained to do. Enjoy your rest. Our prayers are with your partner, family and department.

My thoughts and prayers go out to the BNSF Railway Police Department and the family, friends, and colleagues of K9 Defender, who was accidentally shot and killed in the Line-of-Duty on Thursday, February 7, 2019. Let us celebrate his accomplishments and remember his selfless sacrifice in the Line-of-Duty. Now that K9 Defender has left this life Lord God, please help the members of the BNSF Railway Police Department cope with his loss with strength and courage. May K9 Defender always be remembered as a trusted colleague who completed his missions with true dedication. Heavenly Father, by Your Word, death is not the end; it does not have the final say! For Scripture promises that all flesh shall see the salvation of God! All dogs do go to heaven, because they have a spirit that epitomizes God’s unconditional love. After all, DOG spelt backwards is GOD! Well done, good and faithful servant! Amen.
