A Prayer for Comfort:

Scripture teaches us, “Blessed are those who mourn. They will be comforted.” [Matthew 5:4 GW]

Heavenly Father, We come boldly and humbly before Your throne in sincere faithful and fervent prayer to remember the life and mourn the death of our furry Comrade-in-Blue, K9 Choper, of the Conewango Township, Pennsylvania Police Department. You are the Light, the Love, and the Life. We do not sorrow as those who have no hope, for our hope is in Jesus Christ. We ask that You would comfort each family member, friend, and comrade of K9 Choper. May they be comforted through Your Word, encouraged through happy memories, and sustained by the hope of the resurrection for all flesh that places their faith in You, Lord God. Amen.

My kids and I were very saddened to hear of Choper's accident. He visited them at Scouts numerous times and was a valued member of the community. He will be missed.
