Reflections for K9 Scout

K9 Scout thank you for your Service to your community and Department. Most of all thank you for your Ultimate Sacrifice in the hands of another. As we know things like this are not done on purpose but i wish people would read about K9's chocking on these types of objects and reward you all in a different way. May God grant your Partner and all involved with a speedy healing.

A very sad time for the Jefferson County Sheriff's Department as they mourn the loss of K9 Scout as he lost his life in a training exercise with other dogs from the New York State Police and various other agencies. He is gone but not forgotten. The Jefferson County Sheriff's Department mourns the loss of a very brave and courageous dog that served in their department for three years.

Are these beloved and highly intelligent K9 animals now with the Lord Himself in the Heavenly Realm? Pastor and Author Randy Alcorn at EPM.prg certainly feels this is factual, and even devoted 2 chapters of his best selling “Heaven” book to establish his case. Get a glimpse of the Glorious Reunions awaiting their devoted trainers, owners and handlers at ImagineHeaven.net May the Good Lord comfort them, their Department and all Animal Admirers accordingly…

There is simply no accounting for why tragedies like Scout's occur -
leaving us shocked, angry, confused and grieving. God allowed it and one day we will understand why. For now, we can celebrate the energy and life of an exceptional K-9 officer who's sole purpose was to perform his duties perfectly at the side of his partner. May God grant peace to the deserving hearts of Scout's handler and fellow officers.

The News of your passing deeply hurts me as just 1 month ago i participated in a ride-along with the Watertown PD and was able to do it with one of their K-9 handlers. As we went to get in the car we saw you in the back of your patrol car.... You will never be forgotten. I never thought something like this would happen in my county... RIP K-9 scout.
